At home, it’s important to keep your raw bones in the freezer and thaw them one at a time. Don’t forget to take out the bone at least a few minutes before you plan to offer it to your dog. If your dog doesn’t chew it, it can be refrozen only once more in an airtight bag. Make sure you never leave your dog’s bones lying around for days. Once they dry up, they become very brittle and can be extremely dangerous for your pet.
- Offer 1 to 2 times per week in addition to a healthy and natural diet.
- Always keep an eye on your dog when he or she is chewing a bone.
- Avoid contact with carpets or any surface that is not stain-proof.
